Metro Detroit Chimney Rebuild & Repair

When Repair Isn't Enough — We Rebuild

The chimney is the highest, most exposed masonry on your home. Michigan freeze-thaw cycles crack the crown, water runs down into the brick, and year after year the faces pop off and the joints open. Caught early, it's tuckpointing and a crown rebuild. Left too long, the stack leans or crumbles and a rebuild becomes the safe, permanent answer.

A rebuild isn't a sales pitch — it's what we recommend when the structure is no longer sound. We scaffold safely, tear down to solid brick, and rebuild with period-matched brick and weather-resistant mortar. Then we pour a new crown with proper slope, set a cap, and replace the flashing so the roof-to-chimney junction is leak-free.

We repair and rebuild chimneys across Metro Detroit — Warren, Royal Oak, Roseville, Clinton Township, Shelby Township, Grosse Pointe, St. Clair Shores, and beyond. Call or text Nick at 248-275-7638 for a free inspection.

How We Work

OUR PROCESS

01

Step 1

Crown-to-Firebox Inspection

We photograph the entire chimney — brick, mortar, crown, cap, flashing, and flue liner — and tell you honestly whether it needs repair or a full rebuild.

02

Step 2

Tear-Down to Sound Brick

For a rebuild, we scaffold safely and tear the damaged courses down to solid, stable brick. No band-aiding over loose or leaning masonry.

03

Step 3

Brick & Mortar Rebuild

We rebuild the stack with period-matched brick and a color-matched, weather-resistant mortar mix — plumb, level, and structurally sound.

04

Step 4

Crown, Cap & Flashing

A new poured crown with proper slope and overhang, a stainless or aluminum cap, and fresh step and counter flashing seal the roof-to-chimney junction.

05

Step 5

Waterproof & Final Inspection

A breathable silane/siloxane sealer slows future water intrusion, and a final inspection confirms the chimney is winter-ready.

Repair When It Makes Sense

If tuckpointing, a crown rebuild, and flashing will save it, we say so — we don't sell a rebuild you don't need.
